How we care for your baby
At our small-scale childcare centre Klein is Groot, we have separate groups for babies and toddlers. Two of our permanent nursery nurses look after a maximum of eight babies aged between 0 and 2 years in the baby group. Some babies first come to us when they are 3 or 4 months old, others come later.
We get to know your baby with a lot of patience, so that they can grow in confidence. This allows your baby to relax and develop. We do this by observing and listening to your child very carefully and by coordinating closely with you as a parent.
Our baby carers are trained according to the Emmi Pikler approach. At the same time, the little ones find themselves in a pleasant space with soft colours and a touch of anthroposophy. Dancing felt elves and the seasons depicted in felt stories.
This makes our small-scale childcare centre a second home. For the whole family.
This is how we care for your toddler
The toddler group has a maximum of thirteen children and two carers. This allows children to settle into a fixed and recognisable daily routine. This way, children know what to expect. After tidying up together, we sing and read in a circle. Then we eat fruit and bake bread rolls. They enjoy playing in the green garden with bicycles, a sandpit, a sand kitchen and so on. And then we have a nice lunch with soup and bread. This rhythm unfolds every day with us.
