Playing & Fun
It is important for children to have the opportunity to discover things for themselves in order to develop their sensory-motor skills. In our childcare, you will therefore not find any toys that don’t give the child space to explore and prevents sensory overload.
Babies
At Klein is Groot, we find it important for babies to be in a quiet environment. A space with little stimuli. Here, we follow the vision of R. Steiner and E. Pikler. For good bonding and a gentle start, if needed, we ‘carry’ your baby in a sling during the ‘adjustment period’.
We are very aware of always creating an area that offers space and the opportunity to discover and develop at their own pace. In this way, we follow the natural development of the child.
Toddlers
The toys are usually made of natural materials – wood often – and are designed to encourage children to use their own imaginations, Costumes are also available for them to create their own fantasy world. Furthermore, toddlers have plenty of room to discover themselves and what they enjoy. As no other, toddlers can have so much fun with sticks or a bucket of sand. Outside in our mud kitchen they can enjoy themselves fully. Being messy is allowed!
